From Sorrow To Serenity recently made their triumphant return with ‘Reclaim’, released 22 March 2019 via Long Branch Records and is the follow up to 2017’s single ‘Golden Age’. ‘Reclaim’ reveals the bands revitalized sound and is the first release to feature new frontman Gaz King (Ex- Nexilva). After a successful run of sold out UK tours joining Jinger and Heart Of A Coward, the band can certainly deliver! You can check my thoughts on ‘Reclaim’ below.
‘Denounce’ opens the fold with its perfect intro progressing abruptly to the bands well produced articulate sound.
The first single ‘We Are Liberty’ delivers the goods with multiple flavours including some seriously tight and infectious breakdowns.
‘Reclaim’ stands out with its slightly more progressive approach that features an interesting structure sound and feel.
The production, song-writing and musicianship is simply outstanding, and I feel ‘Reclaim’ could easily compete with acts higher up the food chain.
My personal favourites include ‘Solitude’, ‘Alright’ and ‘Supremacy’.
From Sorrow To Serenity will tour Japan in support of ‘Reclaim’ in May alongside Betraying The Martyrs and Boris The Blade in their Japanese debut. Also, there will be an album release show at Drygate Brewing Co Glasgow on Sat 8th June.
